Year Two Homework Information

In Year Two, children receive weekly English and Maths homework designed to reinforce and extend their learning in school.

Maths Homework

Maths homework is set through MyMaths, an online platform linked directly to our school’s Maths scheme.
Because it mirrors the layout and methods used in class, children find it familiar and accessible. Teachers are able to set tasks that closely match current lessons, helping children practise and apply the skills they have been learning.

English Homework

For English, children are given a Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling Targeted Question Book which they will work through over the course of the year.
Each week, we set one or two pages relating to the topics covered in our spelling and grammar lessons. These activities help strengthen understanding and consolidate key learning.

Spellings

In addition to the weekly tasks, spellings are introduced when appropriate to support the children's progress. These may link to current class learning or focus on specific areas that need further practice.
