Digital Leaders
Ickworth Park Primary School Digital Leaders
Every year, pupils in year 5 and 6 apply to be part of our digital leaders' team led by Mrs Asker and are elected by their fellow pupils in a whole school vote. Their roles are to support the use of technology and promote Online Safety across the school.
The role includes:
- Support the use of iPads and chromebooks in school to support learning.
- Share their skills and expertise with other pupils, classes and staff.
- Assist teachers and other pupils in understanding coding applications.
- Set up the hall for assemblies and support the adult with the technology required.
- Set up equipment in classrooms for teachers.
- Lead lunchtime or after-school computing clubs.
- Support teachers in using technology in the classroom.
- Share expertise with other schools and at conferences.
- Have a good understanding of how to stay safe with technology and share that with others.
- Provide first line technical support in school.
- Lead whole school and class Online Safety assemblies.
- Create newsletters and power points to support pupils and their families.
Digital Leaders 2025-2026
Digital Ambassadors 2025-2026
This year, Ickworth Park introduced Digital Ambassadors in years 1 to 4, who were voted for by their peers.
Their roles entails:
- attending termly meetings
- helping with technology in class
- promoting and supporting online safety
- exploring new technology
- supporting Mrs Asker with Online Safety assemblies
